Frederik Paulsen Arctic Academic Action Award
The Frederik Paulsen Arctic Academic Action Award has been granted annually since 2021 at the Arctic Circle Assemblies to action-oriented scientific initiatives directed at reversing the dramatic effects of climate change in a concrete way.
Arctic Circle Prize
The Arctic Circle Prize has been awarded four times. First in 2016 to Ban Ki-moon, then the Secretary-General of the United Nations, in 2019 to John Kerry, President Biden's Special Presidential Envoy for Climate and former U.S Secretary of State, in 2022 to Alfred Wegener Institute and MOSAiC Expedition and in 2024 to the U.S. Senator Lisa Murkowski.
